Happy Thanksgiving week! I'm so looking forward to Thanksgiving. I can't wait to have a few days to just relax and spend time with my family and (hopefully) take a little break from work. Barbour Beadnell // Jeans (old, similar here) // Booties (similar here) // Sweater (from the Harvard Coop!) // Necklace // Bag (old, similar here) This is one of my go-to fall outfits. Anytime I throw . . .
I just realized that at this time next week I will probably be passed out after eating one too many pieces of pie. I love Thanksgiving. It is truly one of my favorite holidays. It is so cozy and filled with love. It's so nice to take a moment to really reflect and express thanks for everything we have. Plus, I happen to love stuffing and cranberry sauce and turkey. Family, the Macy's parade, . . .
If you want to see more about the first part of our day in Barcelona at the Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, and Las Ramblas before reading on, click here! We spent the afternoon and evening in Barcelona checking out even more Gaudi masterpieces and enjoying the gorgeous city. Our two big stops were the Casa Mila and the Casa Battlo, which are two apartment buildings just a few blocks away from . . .
On our last day of the cruise we woke up early, grabbed our bags, and were off the ship and in a cab into Barcelona by 6:15 am! We wanted to spend every moment we could exploring Barcelona. After being away for a luxurious 9 days, I unfortunately had to get back to work, otherwise I would have loved to spend a few more days here exploring. We checked into an amazing hotel, Grand Hotel Central, in . . .
It's finally starting to feel like fall around these parts, and I'm enjoying the chance to finally wear all of my plaid skirts and flannel tops and blanket scarves again! This weekend it seems like all the leaves finally changed at once, and with Halloween right around the corner it feels like we're really in the heart of autumn. This is the perfect time of year for a cute little plaid . . .
The Head of the Charles Regatta (#HOCR) is happening this weekend in Boston, and if you are anywhere near the Boston area, you have to go. The Head of the Charles was without a doubt my favorite fall weekend in Boston each year. During the three years I was at Harvard, the weather for each regatta was absolutely beautiful, and this year promises to be another gorgeous fall weekend! (Apparently . . .
On our second day in Spain we explored Palma de Mallorca. It was a gorgeous town, with stunning architecture and beautiful views and so much history. Our ship docked right in the harbor and we were able to just walk into the old town. The Balearic Islands are incredible. I can see why Mallorca is such a popular beach spot for Europeans! The two major historic sites in the old town are . . .
Last weekend I went apple picking at Milburn Orchards in Maryland. On the weekends in the fall they have an entire fall festival running, with pumpkins and corn mazes and a petting zoo and ALL THE FALL TREATS. I'm talking apple cider donuts, apple cider funnel cake, apple cider slushies.... the list just goes on and on. It was such a beautiful day to be outside. It finally felt a bit cooler and . . .
TGIF! It's Friday- time to celebrate making it through another week! I wore this look to work last week and then out to dinner at City Center afterwards. We went to Fig and Olive, and remembered how much I like that place. On weeknights it's a super happening place, since so many offices are nearby and people wander over straight from work. There was even a DJ in the bar area! Definitely . . .
I love exploring DC and discovering fun new spots. And let me tell you, Union Market is one of DC's hidden gems. It's a re-purposed warehouse turned into a foodie's paradise. There's so much delicious food to try and some truly charming shops to explore inside, and then outside there are plenty of picnic tables, music, and, of course, those famous murals you always see on Instagram (including the . . .
