Cozy Christmas Style

christmas styleAfter a long week at work, I crave a weekend curled up at home in my coziest clothes, wrapped up under the blankets with a good book. This weekend feels like the calm before the storm. With lots of work things coming up and holiday parties and festivities it will be a busy December!

christmas styleThat’s one of the reasons I took advantage of this weekend to just wear one of my comfiest Christmas sweaters. I love it not only because of the darling reindeer print, but also because it’s festive without being too loud and obnoxious. (Though don’t get me wrong, I love myself a good loud and obnoxious Christmas sweater, but there’s a time and place for everything!). This sweater is perfect for when you just want something a little bit festive and don’t want to look like you just hopped off the sleigh from the North Pole!

I found a few other low key reindeer sweaters that are festive without being too crazy!

Speaking of festive, I’ve been decorating my apartment these last few days and even set up a little Christmas tree. I’m going to make the absolute most of this Christmas season so I didn’t want to wait any time after I got back from Thanksgiving to start decorating! Looking around at my decorations, I realized that so many of them came from Target. Last year I got a ton of ornaments and little decorations plus a wonderful gingerbread candle during a massive holiday decor Target run. One of my finds was this tiny little tree. It’s the perfect way to add a little rustic touch to your decor without worrying about any pine needles! (I am literally still finding pine needles from my tree last year…. lesson learned!)

christmas styleI cannot wait until I have an actual house, so not only will I have more room for all my holiday decorations and a really gigantic Christmas tree, but I’ll also have the chance to put up lights outside. I always love driving around the neighborhood and seeing everyone’s different Christmas lights. Until then I’ll just have settle for stringing up some lights in my apartment and calling it a day!

Christmas decor targetHere are some of my favorite holiday decor items that I’ve seen so far. I’ve got to keep reminding myself that I only have a little apartment and can’t just overwhelm it with decorations… but really can you ever have too many Christmas decorations??? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Hope everyone’s having a great weekend!
xo,
Kate
