I just spent the most lovely Saturday night wandering around Annapolis and eating the most incredible food. I’m trying to wear all my summery dresses while I still can, so I pulled out one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer dresses. I love anything pink, and this pattern is bright and colorful without being too overwhelming.
Speaking of Lilly, Monday is the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale! It’s always kind of crazy, and you even have to wait in a virtual line to get into the website because the traffic is so insane, but if you hang in there you can pick up some gorgeous dresses for a fraction of the price they usually go for. The College Prepster has a great post about what to expect for the sale.
Annapolis is such an adorable city. I love to wander around the streets and pop in the little stores. There are some really cute boutiques there, like The Lucky Knot, which has the best collection of nautical, classic clothes and accessories.
The Naval Academy is right downtown, so you always see lots of Midshipmen wandering around.
I love watching the boats go by on the water!
Now, I mentioned I had some incredible food… I went to the Iron Rooster and had a wonderful peach and tomato and ricotta salad… and then I topped it off with the most delicious homemade pop tart! Seriously, no words could do this justice. The pastry is flaky, the brown sugar filling is so rich…. it’s just complete perfection.
Such a relaxing Saturday night. It’s such a nice break from being in the city all week long and even though it’s only about an hour away, it feels worlds away from Washington.
Here’s a link to some similar looks! I’ll be keeping an eye out for these at the After Party Sale!
